How to Claim CME and MOC Credits

How to claim CME Credits?

CME for ACG 2025 educational activities can only be claimed by completing an online evaluation for each course. Details and the link to the evaluation site will be provided before the meeting. Complete each course evaluation and print your certificate. PLEASE NOTE: the number of CME credits you claim will be the number of MOC points you are able to claim. Once you submit for CME credits, this total CANNOT BE ADJUSTED.

How do I claim MOC Points?

ACG courses that offer MOC (as noted below) will award MOC credit in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) and American Board of Pediatrics’ (ABP) MOC programs.

Participants are asked to reflect on and summarize what they have learned and indicate what they will do differently, stop doing, or keep doing in their practice with more confidence relative to identified key learning objectives from the course. A minimum of 2-3 sentences is required for an acceptable submission. All assessments are reviewed. Awarded MOC points will be removed if responses do not meet the passing standard.

ABIM
While completing your CME evaluation and submitting for CME credits for an individual course, those who indicate on the evaluation form that they are a U.S.-licensed physician will be directed to the MOC submission site for the option to log their points with ABIM. Note: To claim your MOC points, you will need to verify or provide your 6-digit ABIM ID number and your date of birth. You may visit the ABIM website to look up your ABIM ID number.

ABP
AFTER completing your CME evaluation and submitting for CME credits for an individual course, ABP MOC can be claimed by emailing education@gi.org to obtain the required forms for completion. ABP diplomates can NOT use the MOC link on the evaluation site to claim MOC points.

What is the deadline to claim CME Credits?

The evaluation site will remain open to claim CME and obtain a certificate until October 30, 2028.

What is the deadline to claim MOC Points?

ABIM
ABIM Board Certified physicians with a 2025 year-end MOC deadline will need to complete their MOC submission by December 31, 2025 in order for the MOC points to count for 2025. No MOC credit will be awarded after April 30, 2026 for these activities.

ABP
ABP should claim their MOC for these activities by December 1, 2025. All ABP learner completion data should be submitted within 30 days of activity completion.
