Course Overview and Target Audience:

ACG’s WISE GI is a new half-day course focused on professional development and networking opportunities for female gastroenterologists at various stages in their careers. This course is intended for female gastroenterologists including senior fellows and attendings at all career stages. It is relevant to those in private practice and/or academic practice.

Course Objectives:

  • Define the gender gap for women in gastroenterology and provide guidance to overcome these specific challenges.
  • Equip attendees with leadership skills, practical career advancement strategies, and effective communication techniques.
  • Offer actionable tips for achieving better work-life balance and thriving both personally and professionally.
  • Facilitate dialogue among attendees to explore additional topics (e.g., negotiations, conflict resolutions), identify personal short- and long-term goals, and recognize ongoing gaps that need to be addressed.
